Director of Business Development

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Provide leadership to ILS business development initiatives. Represent ILS scientific programs in identifying potential growth opportunities. Develop long-range business growth plans and establish annual goals for business growth. Develop and execute action plans to comply with long-range growth plan and annual growth goals. Develop and monitor budgets to meet long-range and annual growth plans. Interact with procurement officials and policy makers to direct ILS growth targets. Identify and interact with clients. Identify procurement opportunities. Develop bid strategies and position company for success. Monitor FBO, Active Contracts, Forecasts, etc., to execute ILS growth plans. Identify and capture viable teaming partners. Perform market research and analysis. Furnish marketing advice, counsel and general staff support to all programs. Monitor external and internal environment for development of new market segments. Develop feasibility studies/business plans. Facilitate marketing and sales training of technical staff. Prepare marketing campaigns for scientists to develop new programs. Public speaking to organizations and committees regarding public relations, marketing, and development. Management responsibilities: Develop and maintain marketing budget, Annual Goals and Objectives Work in a team environment with a professional and positive attitude. Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field with 10+ years marketing or business management experience (experience in science based industry preferred). Excellent organization, planning, management writing skills an oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others. Ability to process abstract verbal and written instructions to create marketing plans. Ability to work under stress, interruptions and tight deadlines. Ability to understand financial reports including budgetary guidelines and project expenditures. Ability to assign and delegate work, problem solve, answer questions and evaluate results of performance.

Quality Assurance Auditor

RESPONSIBILITIES: Include (but are not limited to): Audit and inspect GLP studies conducted by ILS. Audit and inspect GLP subcontractors. Audit and inspect non-GLP projects as directed. Present periodic QA orientation. Conduct QA training. Assist with the management of historical and current SOPs. Maintain GLP Archives. Assist with the management of QA records. Assist with the hosting of regulatory and client QA/GLP visitors/inspectors. Report findings to management. Carry out GLP required QA activities. Direct support to contracts as needed. Work in a team environment with a professional and positive attitude. Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a science related field with > 5 years experience in Quality Assurance. RQAP-GLP certification required. FDA, EPA, OECD GLP competent. EPA, QMP and QAPP competent. 21 CFR Part 11 experience. Computer literate. Superior written/oral communication and organizational skills. Project planning and management.

Toxicologic Pathologist

RESPONSIBILITIES: Include (but are not limited to) Evaluating both subchronic and chronic toxicity/carcinogenicity studies in rats and mice and peer reviewing pathology data and reports. Organizing, coordinating, and conducting NTP peer review pathology working groups (PWG) and preparation of PWG summary reports. Serve as study pathologist on research studies providing gross and histopathological evaluations and preparing pathology reports. Performing quality assessment of pathology specimens. Working in multidisciplinary teams Interacting with clients; Business Development activities. Veterinarian issues input. Work in a team environment with a professional and positive attitude. Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: D.V.M. and Ph.D. or DVSc in pathology or related Biological Science with 0-1 years experience in rodent toxicological pathology. Board eligible. Pathology and histology expertise. Excellent communication skills.
