ILS Employee receives Award from local AALAS chapter 22 Feb 2010
Pamela Sproul was awarded the Supervisor Technician of the Year award at the local AALAS chapter's annual banquet. The Supervisor Technician of the Year award is given annually to a Laboratory Animal Technician- (LAT) or Laboratory Animal Technologist- (LATG) certified individual who supervises personnel in laboratory animal medicine, pursues laboratory animal knowledge, and is involved in the improvement of animal care and welfare. Pam supervises 7 toxicology technicians in both the SPF and non-SPF facilities and is a strong advocate of animal welfare at ILS. Pam received a plaque and a $250 monetary award. Pam’s name will also be submitted as a candidate for the National Technician of the Year award given by the National AALAS.
