ILS new new non-SPF animal facility now open06 Apr 2009
ILS new animal facility is open for operation. It is located at Keystone Park and is comprised of 13,102 sq. ft. Approximately 5,816 sq. ft of this space is the animal facility; 1,320 sq. ft. are laboratories; and the remaining 5,966 sq. ft. are offices and administrative areas. The new non-SPF Animal Facility is a dual-corridor system and consists of:
- 10 animal rooms;
- Hazardous waste dump room;
- Hazardous waste storage room;
- Feed and bedding storage room;
- Dirty and clean cage wash areas;
- Full necropsy facilities; and
- A separate surgical/ procedural suite.
